1) What was the task you were assigned?
We were assigned to create a three minute podcast based on the standard BBC Radio 1 breakfast show with Greg James. We were told to include the key aspects of a radio timeline, i.e celebrity/ public interaction, a game etc.
2) Who was in your group and what was everyone's role in the task?
Daisy - edited and recorded
Leo - radio presenter
Lily - radio presenter and interviewer
Rosie - weather and news broadcast
3) Who did you interview?
We interviewed different callers to play the game and a celebrity (Tom Holland).
4) What tracks did you choose and why?
We chose to incorporate British artists; Sam Smith; Catfish and the Bottlemen; Adele.
5) What was the running order?
To start, Leo introduced the show, then we included stings and the classic radio one indent, we played a music track, we then moved onto the interview with Tom Holland, an additional track plays and then we chose to finish with the news and weather.
6) Who is your target audience?
15-29 year olds
7) How did you relate to/ attract your audience?
We used a well known celebrity who has recently been noticed and adored amongst 15-29 year old due to the film he features in and its audience. We also played recent tracks in the charts that are big and widely listened to by a younger, millennial audience.
8) What was your initial feedback?
9) Identify what went well and what you would do differently:
WWW - I think we included all of the key, conventional radio broadcasting aspects and read confidently and clearly.
EBI - Make sure to use the time given yo you wisely so that you don't miss deadlines.
